The Newport Folk Festival

　　Since the inaugural 1958 festival, the Newport Folk Festival is renowned for presenting the very best in traditional and up-and-coming folk artists. And, of course, the stunning setting near picturesque Narragansett Bay doesnt hurt in making this one of our favorite folk festivals.

　　This years Newport Folk Festivals lineup features legendary figures in songwriting, new voices from both hemispheres and dynamic bands who will bring the crowd to their feet . Many musicians such as bluegrass master Sam Bush, acoustic blues player John Mooney and Joan Osborne are among the artists in the festival program which begins Friday, August 3 and continues through Sunday, August 5.

　　Pick Pockets Deli is one of the longest-standing food vendors, which is known for their homemade pita breads and fresh Middle eastern selections. Cove Grill of Jamestown, Rhode Island brings the taste of the bay to Fort Adams. This year the seafood hut will feature a menu consisting of fresh lobster rolls, stuffies, and french fries.
