Highway意思就是普通的公路、干道，為什么會(huì)高h(yuǎn)igh呢？大概是因?yàn)樾蘖烁呒軜虻脑虬伞６嬲母咚俟罚⒄Z(yǔ)里叫expressway，express就是快的、直達(dá)的意思。比如：
A four-lane expressway runs straight to the capital.
一條四車道的高速公路直通首都。
