　　考查應試者正確把握文章內容，以及在一定語境中準確使用詞語的能力。本部為1篇300～450詞的短文，文中有15處空白，每處空白給出4個選項，要求應試者根據(jù)短文的內容從4個選項中選擇l個最佳答案

　　In some countries where racial prejudice is acute, violence has been taken for granted as a means of solving differences; and this is not even questioned.
